Faces of Australia's missing persons featured on milk bottles

Photos of missing people from across Australia are now featured on milk bottles in the hope the images will jog someone's memory and reunite families with their loved ones.

A joint campaign between the Australian Federal Police (AFP), the National Missing Persons Coordination Centre (NMPCC) and Canberra Milk resulted in profiles of 16 long-term missing people printed on 1 litre bottles and their stories shared across social media.

AFP Assistant Commissioner Lesa Gale said one person featured in the 2019 campaign was located and these initiatives are a reminder that real people are missing and more open discussion is needed.

Relatives of the missing have welcomed the campaign, saying it brings them hope their loved ones may still be found.
